SYNOPSIS
Join us every Saturday at noon ET @polishedsolid on YouTube for What Did Prince Do This Week? (WDPDTW), an interactive, virtual book club where we read Duane Tudahl’s entire Prince Studio Sessions book series very slowly to discuss with YOU what Prince did during the parallel week.
Beyond a book club, it is also a Saturday salon, echoing the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance and inviting discussions that dive deep into every aspect of Prince’s purple world and music in general.
We began this journey in January 2023! Now in 2025, we are embarking on year three of What Did Prince Do This Week? and beginning Duane Tudahl’s second book in the series, Prince and the Parade and Sign O’ The Times Era Studio Sessions: 1985 and 1986. It is a very, very slow read over the course of two years. Yes, it is a commitment, but we’ll read the 2nd book in very short, digestible, bite-sized chunks–just like we did with the first, Prince and the Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions: 1983 and 1984 (Expanded Edition)!
